Founder and publisher

Mehmood Rajoka

Founder and publisher of taxcalculators.uk, responsible for product direction, primary-source review and editorial accountability.

Role at taxcalculators.uk

Mehmood founded taxcalculators.uk to make common UK tax questions easier to explore without hiding the assumptions behind a result. As publisher, he is accountable for the product direction, the editorial process and the route users can use to report a possible error. He coordinates calculator releases and makes sure new tools explain the job they perform, the inputs they need and the cases they do not cover.

How source review works

Rate and threshold claims are checked against the official HMRC, GOV.UK or Scottish Government links shown on each relevant page. A change is reviewed across the shared tax configuration, calculator copy, methodology, metadata and structured data. Calculation engines are covered by automated regression tests for published thresholds, boundaries and representative examples before a release is deployed.

The visible review date records when the cited sources and affected implementation were checked. It is not a claim that HMRC, an accountant or another external professional has endorsed the website.

Product-quality responsibilities

Editorial accountability also covers how a calculator communicates uncertainty. Each release is expected to keep the calculation visible, preserve a previous result when edited inputs become stale, focus the first invalid field, explain regional and tax-year coverage, and separate employee deductions from employer costs. New pages must be reachable through the calculator directory and relevant internal links, carry a canonical address, appear in the correct sitemap, and remain readable without an account or paywall.

Qualifications boundary

Mehmood is presented as the founder and publisher, not as a chartered accountant, regulated tax adviser or HMRC representative. taxcalculators.uk provides clearly scoped estimates and general information; it does not provide personalised tax, legal, financial or accounting advice. Users should confirm filings, payroll decisions, dividend declarations and other material decisions with HMRC or a suitably qualified professional.

Corrections and accountability

If a result, source, explanation or limitation appears wrong, email [email protected] with the page address, the figures used and an official source where possible. Substantiated issues are investigated and corrected across every affected calculator or guide rather than patched on one page only.

Calculator rates and primary sources were last reviewed 14 August 2026.
