Adding VAT to £1,000

Formula: £1,000.00 × 1.20 = £1,200.00
Removing VAT from £1,000
If your gross price is £1,000.00 (including VAT), the net amount before VAT is £833.33 and the VAT portion is £166.67.
Formula: £1,000.00 ÷ 1.20 = £833.33
